    Beau grew up in Owensboro, Kentucky.  He received his bachelor of arts degree in fine art from the University of Montana in Missoula.  Beau and his wife, April, moved to Yankton, South Dakota in 2010 allowing April to pursue a degree in nursing at Mount Marty College.  Beau began his law degree at the University of South Dakota School of Law in Vermillion, graduating in 2014.
    Beau was selected to the South Dakota Law Review and served as Lead Articles Editor for the board, while attending law school.  He had an article selected for publication in his second year.  Beau was also selected to be a member of the Trial Team, competing in the ABA Employment Discrimination Trial Advocacy Competition in San Francisco, CA. and the Regional TYLA/ACTL Mock Trial Tournament in Minneapolis, MN. 
    Beau joined Johnson, Miner, Marlow, Woodward and Huff LLC. in 2014, he and April recently purchased a home in Yankton where they reside with their daughter Hadley, son Jack, and excitable pug Grendel.
